How the microschool works

Akasha’s school students are enrolled in virtual classes (most use Edmentum or other accredited courses). We accept students in grades 6 through 12 and give them direct one-on-one support for their online courses, using hybrid teaching models with differentiated instruction led by our talented team of learning coaches.

Our classrooms are fully equipped with school supplies, internet access, computers and printing. Akasha creates individual pacing goals for each student, and we put real weight on social development: communal lunch, study breaks and in-house electives including P.E., music, computer technology and art.

Homeschooling, or already enrolled in a virtual school? You can bring those courses here too, and work through them with a coach and classmates instead of alone at the kitchen table.

Four learning areas. Zero boring rooms.

Akasha doesn’t look like any tutoring room or classroom you’ve ever seen. There are four unique learning areas, each with its own theme and a comfortable setting.
